Using all ideas we have covered in class over the past weeks create a 24 x 36 drawing that is:

50% refined with to the point of full value
30% the underlying structure of the drawing focusing on see through aspects and proper measuring(much like the previous 2 homework assignments)
20% gesture and the beginning levels of a drawing

Foundation SketchBook

All Foundation classes participate in the Foundation SketchBook, a journal of the first year experience. You must complete the assignments for each course as part of your final evaluation. Sketchbooks will be bound in 2D Foundation Principles late in the semester.
All due dates for the sketchbook are listed in red below.

Themes:

1. Pick and research an artist, present for approval by Wed Jan 30, create master copies of the artist's work (check class blog for master copy examples) use black and white only

2. Create in depth drawings based on master studies from the previous Signature, also use a palette that explores temperature

3. Create in depth drawings based on master studies exploring a full color palette and mixed media

Take the previous homework assignment, choose 1 of the 4 drawings, and do it better. Keep in mind the successful drawings we spoke about in class.
